Massage is recommended by medical doctors, chiropractors, osteopaths, orthopedic surgeons, and other related professionals. Massage is now included in many training routines. All of the therapists at Oasis have completed a rigorous 500+ hour training course which includes anatomy, physiology, helio and hydro therapy, law and professional ethics. The L.M.T. has passed both written and practical examinations administered by the Florida State Board and has kept the license current by completing required continuing education credits. Under “Chapter 480” of Florida law, we are designated as “Health Care Practitioners” and are governed by the Department of Health. The therapists at Oasis have been trained in a variety of techniques, and may employ various modalities, such as Swedish massage, neuromuscular therapy and myofacial release, as each individual’s condition and preference dictate. |
